Regulatory Compliance Specialist, Occupational Health & Safety
Our client, a global leader in advanced manufacturing, is seeking an experienced Senior Manager of Environmental Health & Safety to lead EHS strategy at one of its largest and most complex manufacturing facilities.
This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for driving safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, developing high-performing teams, and serving as a key member of the Plant Leadership Team.
Responsibilities- Lead and develop a team of Environmental, Health & Safety professionals.
- Develop and implement site-wide EHS strategies, policies, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Drive a proactive safety culture across a large manufacturing operation.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and applicable environmental regulations.
- Lead incident investigations utilizing root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Oversee critical safety programs including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Machine Guarding, Electrical Safety, Powered Industrial Trucks, and Fall Protection.
- Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Plant Leadership to integrate EHS into day-to-day manufacturing decisions.
- Support environmental permitting, compliance reporting, and audit readiness.
- Mentor and develop EHS staff while promoting continuous improvement.
- Bachelor''s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 7+ years of progressive EHS leadership experience within a large manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience leading EHS teams.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, incident investigation, and root cause analysis.
- Experience driving safety culture improvements across manufacturing operations.
- Medical device, pharmaceutical, chemical, or other highly regulated manufacturing experience preferred.
- Experience with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and Process Safety Management (PSM) is a plus.
