Assists in maintaining production and distribution of products by staging material and parts to help with the completion of final product. Operator needs good communication skills, be organized, and have good time planning management skills. Most tasks will be accomplished by utilizing a computer based (IFS) scheduling system, forklifts, overhead cranes, and some manual lifting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Carries out responsibilities with safety and efficiency as a priority. Prioritizes the well-being of colleagues and actively contributes to the safety program by collaborating, sharing ideas, and voicing concerns. Adheres to training guidelines, policies, and procedures while maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Proactively identifies and addresses potential hazards.
- Adheres to all quality standards and inspection procedures.
- Strives to maximize the volume and efficiency of assigned work completed within designated time frames
- Demonstrate full knowledge of the capabilities and safe operation of assigned equipment to ensure optimal performance and adherence to safety standards.
- Perform routine maintenance of assigned machines.
- Properly complete all routine paperwork and computer data entry related to the job responsibilities.
- Stage, load and unload material for punch, final cut, weld, paint or other processes.
- Must be organized, able to multi-task and prioritize tasks with strict time frames.
- Ability to interpret fabrication drawings to help in calculating weights and lifting requirements.
- Operates forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment to safely and efficiently transport materials as required.
- Capable of working independently or as a team with minimum supervision.
Education:
- High School Diploma, or GED, preferred.
Shift:
- 1st Shift - 6:00am - 4:30pm
- 2nd Shift - 4:30pm - 3:00am

Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is preferred.
