– Job Summary (Short Version) Radius Rule:
Must live 50+ miles away (driver’s license required at submittal for verification) Cannot be FT/PT/PRN with any Common Spirit, CHI, or Dignity facility Important Policies:
No artificial nails (refusal = contract termination) Pass/Fail open-book exam during orientation (90% required to pass) RTO must be submitted upfront (max 7 days per 13-week contract) Department: LDRP (400 births/year) 15 LDRP beds (Labor/Postpartum combined) Required Certifications &
Experience:
BLS, NRP Minimum 3 years Labor & Delivery experience Patient Population:
Obstetrics, antepartum, postpartum Post-surgical GYN High-risk pregnancies (HTN, diabetes) Ratios (AWHONN): 1:1 Labor 1:3 Postpartum Drips:
Pitocin, Magnesium (Mag), Procardia Unit Details:
Charge nurse each shift (takes assignment) No tele techs No call required Rare floating (task/sitter only if critical staffing) 12-hour shifts (6–7), every other weekend Holidays as needed Orientation: 1 week classroom + 2–3 floor shifts Blue Distinction+ facility with high patient satisfaction Breastfeeding-friendly unit
