Mid-Plains Center for Behavioral Healthcare Services is currently seeking a licensed practical nurse (LPN) to work in our Crisis Stabilization Unit. This unit is a 12 bed, mental health stabilization and medically assisted detox unit, and is the only unit of its kind in the state.
A $5,000.00 sign on bonus is offered for this position.
Nurse will work 12 hour night shift from 6 pm to 6 am with rotating weekends (3 shifts weekly).
Nurses will perform medical risk assessments on each client, collaborate with medical practitioners for initial and ongoing medical orders, and address daily basic medical needs of admitted consumers.
This position requires the individual to assess, interpret, and document results of the consumer in triage. Nurses will develop and assist consumers in addressing short term medical needs and collaborate with medical practitioners and team members to determine best-care treatment options.
Mid-Plains Center offers a comprehensive benefit package that includes health insurance (75% agency paid monthly premium); agency paid life insurance; two weeks vacation, sick time and 4 personal days. Retirement plan deferral begins on the first day of employment.
Mid-Plains Center is an approved site for the National Health Service Corps Loan Repayment Program and the Nurse Corps Scholarship and Student Loan Program; programs that pays educational expenses up to $75,000 in exchange for clinical hours worked.
The wage for this position is $25.00-$30.00 depending on experience.
Requirements:
Active, unencumbered LPN license in Nebraska (or a current multistate LPN license under the Nurse Licensure Compact)
