Job Summary

Eventide Prairie Commons in Grand Island is hiring a full‑time Registered Nurse (RN) for a day shift (6 a.m.–6:30 p.m., 12 hours). The schedule is Monday through Thursday and Saturday through Sunday. This role focuses on providing high‑quality nursing care in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, and the philosophy, policies, and procedures of Eventide.

• Follow through on physician’s orders in accordance with Eventide's policies and procedures, receiving and recording orders when appropriate.
• Prepare, administer, and supervise the administration of medication, treatments, and other nursing services as ordered by the physician and according to facility policies and procedures. Observe clients for signs of adverse reactions.
• Assess clients in regard to physical, mental, and psychosocial status, reporting changes promptly to the supervisor and providing follow‑up with family and physician as directed. Take and accurately record vital signs.
• Diligently observe client skin per Eventide's policies, proactively taking steps to avoid pressure ulcers.
• Complete procedures and document the appropriate information on the client’s medical record in a timely manner, following department protocol.
• Provide direction and monitor medication aides delivering medications to clients. Follow through on the comprehensive care plan for each client.
• Supervise and educate clients on the self‑administration of medications. Assist in teaching clients and/or caregivers necessary skills to allow clients to return home when applicable.
• Assist in writing and implementing a comprehensive nursing plan of care, updating the plan based on changes in the client’s physical and emotional state.

• Minimum age 18.
• Successful completion of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse course of study. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least 6 months experience as an RN or LPN preferred.
• Current RN or LPN license in good standing as recorded on the Nebraska State Registry or another Nurse Compact state. CPR certification required. Licenses and credentials must be kept current at the employee’s expense. Must meet Eventide's vaccination requirements.

Competitive starting pay range of $36–$40.32 per hour for RNs, based on qualifications, experience, and location. Shift premiums and differentials may be available for selected positions and shifts.
