Registered Nurse; RN​/Licensed Practical Nurse; LPN Part-Time - Evenings - Eventide Prairie Commons

Eventide Prairie Commons in Grand Island is hiring a Part‑Time Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for an evening shift (6 p.m.–10 p.m.) of 4 hours. The position works every other weekend and includes holidays.

• 18 years of age or older.
• Completed a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse program. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least 6 months of experience as an RN or LPN, preferred.
• Valid RN or LPN license in good standing on the Nebraska State Registry or other Nurse Compact state. Mandatory CPR certification. Must keep licenses/credentials updated at employee's expense and meet Eventide's vaccination requirements.

• Follow physician’s orders and, when appropriate, receive and record them according to Eventide’s policies and procedures.
• Prepare, administer, and/or supervise the administration of medication, treatments, and other nursing services as ordered by a physician and in accordance with facility policies.
• Assess assigned seniors/clients for physical, mental and psychosocial status; report changes in a timely manner to the immediate supervisor and provide follow‑up with family and physicians as directed. Take and accurately record vital signs.
• Diligently observe seniors/clients’ skin and take proactive steps to prevent pressure ulcers.
• Complete nursing procedures and document the required information in the seniors’/clients’ medical record promptly, maintaining accuracy and timeliness per Eventide’s protocols.
• Provide direction and monitor Med Aides who deliver medications, ensuring adherence to the comprehensive care plan.
• Offer supervision and education to seniors/clients for self‑administration of medications; assist in teaching necessary skills to enable clients to return home when possible.
• Help write and implement a comprehensive nursing care plan, updating it based on changes in the seniors’/clients’ physical or emotional state.

Competitive starting pay ranges: $36.00–$40.32 per hour for RNs and $29.00–$32.48 per hour for LPNs, based on qualifications, experience, and location. Shift premiums and differentials may apply for select positions and shifts.
