Retail & Store Manager, Retail Associate/ Customer Service
Overview
Position Summary
What you'll do:
Leads and develops teams by teaching, training, listening to associates, touring stores and providing feedback. Communicates and collaborates with all levels of associates regarding store operations, business initiatives, merchandising and company direction. Introduces and leads company change efforts, providing clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions and communicating business objectives to teams. Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards by following the One Best Way (OBW) service model and managing customer service initiatives, including community outreach programs.
Develops and implements action plans to correct deficiencies and provides process improvement leadership to ensure a high-quality customer experience.
Drives financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing P&L statements, budgeting, forecasting and controlling expenses. Ensures merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow and operational processes support sales and profit goals. Develops and implements action plans to mitigate shrink.
Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training and mentoring, assigning duties, setting clear expectations, providing associate recognition and promoting a sense of belonging. Coordinates and oversees job-related activities and maintains relationships with key stakeholders to meet customer and business needs, identifying goals and objectives and promoting continuous learning.
Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures, ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans and supporting the Open Door Policy. Builds high-performing teams, embraces diversity, and fosters a culture of belonging where associates feel seen, supported and connected.
Act with integrity, serve customers, and strive for excellence by applying Walmart values and doing the right thing for associates, customers and communities. The role supports the EDLP/EDLC business models and uses data-driven decision-making to balance short- and long-term priorities.

The annual salary range is $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 with potential bonuses. Additional compensation may include regional pay, complex structure adjustments, and state pay differentials where applicable.
Minimum Qualifications:
2 years of college; OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience. For certain facilities, background checks or certifications may apply. Associates must complete required trainings (e.g., Academy, Open Door).
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership via Live Better U and Bellevue University; or related certificates. Experience supervising 5+ direct reports including performance management, mentoring, hiring and firing.
