Nov 14, 2024 - The Agronomist provides diagnostic services and recommendations, conducts industry technical benchmarking for supply base selection, and maintains professional accreditation through continuous professional development. This role involves designing and overseeing experiments in various settings to ensure precise data collection and interpretation for sweet potato research. The position also includes developing risk assessments and standard operating procedures, actively participating in action learning and research dissemination to stakeholders, while managing greenhouse operations and adhering to safety standards.

• Provide advice to farmer customers and help them make better business decisions using proprietary solutions.
• Achieve sales, revenue, and market share targets within the defined market/territory.
• Plan and carry out test plots at farms to demonstrate improved varieties of field crops such as corn and soybeans.
• Involved in all aspects of grower relations, including acreage allocations, contracts, conflict resolution, training, and development of production management programs.
• Complete farm inspections, ensure that quality conditions are met, and provide training and support to achieve required standards.
• Coordinate an Integrated Pest Management program including vendor selection, agreement administration, hiring and managing scouts.
• Complete regular production follow-ups and report accordingly.
• Supervise personnel responsible for field activities.

• Strong knowledge in agronomy and agricultural practices.
• Experience in data analysis and statistical methods.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
