Job SummaryThis position is responsible for performing day‑to‑day yard operations of shipping, receiving, customer service, product loading, and inventory control. Must abide by Company Safety Program and Policies, while performing duties safely. Consistent and reliable attendance is required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Works with dispatcher and sales counter to process, prepare, and load sales items, including bulk aggregates, for walk‑in customers, contractors, and/or dealers.
- Unloads incoming freight and inspects merchandise for shortages or damages and matches PO numbers with orders and processes attached paperwork.
- Stocks freight in the warehouse or yard as needed.
- Operates equipment including forklift, pallet loaders, lift truck and front‑end.
- Keeps inventory stocked in designated areas to facilitate accurate and efficient inventory count and allow for storage of daily production.
- Maintains the yard in a clean and orderly manner.
- Assures SDS forms are maintained and up to date for accurate information and immediate review.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Previous experience in a construction and/or construction products related field operating construction machinery or equipment including forklift, pallet loaders, lift truck and a front‑end; or
- An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Valid driver's license. Must be insurable.
- Must be able to complete and pass forklift certification program within six months of employment.
- Ability to lift/move up to 75 pounds.
- Must be able to climb in/out of applicable heavy equipment and vehicles.

Candidate is required to meet the above qualifications, task frequency and PPE requirements.
