Senior HVAC Installation Technician

Kayl Heating & Air is seeking a Senior HVAC Installation Technician to take a key role in completing residential and light commercial HVAC projects. This position combines advanced installation work with field leadership, giving you the opportunity to guide other installers while maintaining high standards for workmanship, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Compensation

Up to $38.00 per hour
, based on experience, technical ability, and leadership background

Qualified candidates may also be eligible for an up to $10,000 sign-on bonus.*

What You'll Be Responsible For
  • Take the lead on residential and light commercial HVAC installation projects
  • Install furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, air handlers, and related equipment
  • Coordinate daily activities for installers and helpers assigned to each project
  • Review job requirements and ensure equipment and materials are ready before work begins
  • Install and properly size refrigeration piping and gas piping
  • Complete ductwork modifications, fabrication, and installation
  • Handle equipment changeouts and new system installations
  • Assist with low-voltage wiring and HVAC controls
  • Perform system start-ups and verify proper equipment operation
  • Identify and resolve installation problems in the field
  • Ensure projects meet manufacturer specifications, company standards, and applicable codes
  • Maintain safe, clean, and professional jobsites
  • Train and mentor developing installers and apprentices
  • Monitor workmanship and provide direction when corrections are needed
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners and other customers
  • Help ensure projects are completed accurately and on schedule
Experience & Qualifications
  • 5+ years of hands-on HVAC installation experience
  • 2+ years of experience leading or supervising installation personnel
  • Strong residential and light commercial installation knowledge
  • Proficiency with refrigeration piping and gas piping
  • Experience with ductwork design, fabrication, modification, and installation
  • Ability to lead projects and provide technical direction to other installers
  • Strong understanding of HVAC installation safety practices
  • General knowledge of low-voltage HVAC electrical systems
  • EPA Certification required
  • Willingness to obtain and maintain applicable installer-based NATE certifications
  • HVAC technical school education preferred
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Effective written and verbal English communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while also directing a crew
  • Positive, dependable, and professional approach to customers and coworkers
Schedule

Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-6:30 PM

Evening and weekend availability may occasionally be required based on workload and customer needs. Participation in the company's on-call rotation is also required.
