Description of WorkJoin our team and build the future of personalized medicine, changing the way diseases are understood, and therapies are customized to the individual.
We are building the first-ever Immune Digital Twin – a personalizable computer replica of the immune system – to enable everyone and anyone to assess and optimize the health of their immune system and simulate and predict its future ability to respond to diseases.
As a Manager, Biophysical Model Design (Temporary), you will:
- Partner with the product team to translate the vision into a theoretical multi-scale modeling framework
- Manage the biophysical modeling team
- Oversee the design and evolution of the multi-scale biophysical model increments into the overall platform
- Transition tested increments to the Pilot and Software Development teams for full integration and scalability

Temporary employees may be appointed for a period of up to two years. MinimumRequired Qualifications
- Master’s in computational biology, systems biology, bioinformatics, biological engineering, biophysics, mathematics, or related field
- 8+ years of experience with agent-based models or physics-based models
- 5+ years of experience managing a scientific team of 5 or more people
- 2+ years of experience working with a product management team to facilitate the translation of product requirements into scientific specifications
- 2+ years of experience with at least 2 additional modeling frameworks: logical models, genome-scale metabolic models, QSP models
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team management skills
- Desire to work on a highly complex infrastructure that requires tight integration and communication with the computational and experimental scientists and software developers
