Founded 150 years ago by a Civil War veteran and pioneer, Gerhold Concrete Company, Inc., a CRH Company, is a major regional supplier of concrete and building materials with 15 locations across Nebraska and Iowa, serving areas in central and northeastern Nebraska, southeastern South Dakota, and western Iowa.

The Bulker Driver is responsible for driving the cement tanker to supply terminals, picking up product and returning to designated plants for unloading.

• Operates truck in a safe and professional manner on public highways, roads, and in the yard area to deliver materials.
• Inspects truck and bulker trailer as required at the start and end of each workday, completing the Driver Check‑off Sheet which indicates that all systems are functioning properly.
• Maintains accurate delivery records and required daily vehicle logs.
• Loads and unloads materials in a safe and efficient manner, including assembling loading and unloading tubes.
• Assists with cement spill cleanup as needed.
• Cleans truck after loading and delivery to prevent cement from hardening on truck and trailer, and sprays surfaces of truck with wash compound in accordance with company standards.
• Ensures the efficient working condition of truck and trailer by performing minor servicing and maintenance or referring major problems to the supervisor.
• Follows all company policies and procedures for safe working practices and environment, reporting any problems to the foreman, superintendent, safety manager, or human resources.
• Satisfies all eligibility requirements for driving a commercial motor vehicle in interstate commerce as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and the Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). with all DOT requirements, including vehicle weight, licensing, vehicle inspection, and hours of service.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
• One to two years of Class A CDL driving experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Experience in a building materials/construction industry preferred.

• Must be 21 years in age or older.
• Must pass pre‑employment drug screen and criminal background check.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License with Tanker Endorsement.
• Must possess and maintain a valid DOT Medical Certificate.
• Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook and Safety Manuals.
• Regular, on‑time, and consistent attendance is required, and must be willing to work nights, weekends, holidays, and away from home when required.
• Individuals are required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas as stated by OSHA and/or MSHA, company policy, and specific job site requirements.

• Ability to operate a Class A truck with tanker's trailer safely and efficiently under a variety of working conditions.
• Ability to read and comprehend policies, instructions, site maps, city street maps, and other GPS‑based equipment information.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently with attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate, understand, and follow both verbal and written instructions.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and basic math skills required.
• Ability to cope well in stressful environments and communicate professionally.
• Able to utilize a tablet for load status, timekeeping, training, and other items.
• Demonstrated ability to take guidance and direction from a supervisor.
