About the role

Fort + Home is a vertically integrated real estate company based in Grand Junction, Colorado. We manufacture homes in our own factory (Fort Homes), develop and build them, and manage property and assets — all on Net Suite, with a lean, fast-moving, AI-assisted back office.

We're hiring a dependable, well-rounded doer to handle the day-to-day accounting data entry across our business and help keep the office running. This is a hands-on seat that touches every side of a vertically integrated company — manufacturing, property, and general accounting. We'll teach you our systems; we're hiring for attitude, reliability, accuracy, and a real willingness to grow.

This is a full-time, in-office role at our Grand Junction location — it is not remote or hybrid. You'll be on-site with the team every workday.

What you'll do Accounting — AP / AR (daily core)
  • Enter and code daily transactions in Net Suite (AP, AR, and expenses)
  • Process bills and run payments through our bill-pay platform (Melio), keeping AP current
  • Handle invoicing, apply incoming payments, and follow up on open items
  • Reconcile bank and credit-card accounts, and flag anything that doesn't tie out
  • Organize receipts, expense reports, and reimbursements
  • Support the monthly close under the Controller's direction
  • Escalate coding or judgment questions to the Controller rather than guessing
Manufacturing (Fort Homes)
  • Enter and maintain inventory, purchase orders (POs), and work orders (WOs) in Net Suite's manufacturing module
  • Keep work-in-process (WIP), job costs, and inventory records accurate and current
  • Match POs to receipts and bills, and flag discrepancies
Property & asset management
  • Handle the accounting-side data entry for property and asset management activity in Net Suite
  • Keep records organized and tied out across our entities
Office coordination (supporting)
  • Keep the office running — mail, shipping, supplies, and vendor and records coordination
  • Provide scheduling and calendar support, and help keep things organized and on time
  • Be a friendly, dependable point of contact in the office
Who we're looking for
  • Accounting aptitude first — some bookkeeping or accounting exposure, or strong aptitude and a genuine willingness to learn it
  • Detail-obsessed — you double-check your work, because inventory, WIP, and job-cost entries have to be right
  • Organized, and comfortable moving between manufacturing, property, accounting, and admin in the same day
  • Coachable — takes feedback well and wants to grow
  • Able to work on-site in Grand Junction every workday — this is not a remote or hybrid role
  • Dependable, with a good attitude and strong follow-through
  • Comfortable in software, and solid with Excel / Google Sheets
  • Trustworthy with confidential financial information
Nice to have
  • Net Suite experience — especially the Manufacturing / Inventory module
  • Familiarity with POs, work orders, WIP, or job costing
  • Property management or real estate accounting exposure
  • Construction, real estate, or hospitality background
  • Comfort working in an AI-assisted, automation-heavy environment
