Overviewand Role Scope of Team and/or Tasks
- Maintain responsibility for graduate recruiting and admissions processes, including:
- Managing the admission system(s) for graduate admissions
- Recruitment travel
- Maintaining all graduate student admission records and updating essential graduate program publications and documents
- Meeting regularly with undergraduate admissions staff
- Maintaining tracking and admission records
- Facilitating contact through e‑mail, web, telephone, visits, and direct mail
- Serving as a point of direct contact for potential graduate students and students in the application process
- Verifying residency status of admits
- Coordinating the onboarding process for new graduate students
- Coordinating the flow of admission applications with the graduate academic departments
- Is attentive to the cost‑effectiveness of recruitment activity
- Has primary responsibility in setting up the admission processes to handle graduate recruiting and communication flow
- Participates in all staff meetings by contributing updates, ideas, and potential improvements
- Participates in and contributes to the organization of on‑campus graduate fairs and recruiting of CMU undergraduates to CMU graduate programs, makes presentations and disseminates information at these events
