The Operations Coordinator is part of the leadership team for the Davis School of Business (DSB) and provides high-level operational support, administrative oversight, event management, and advancement of the School’s academic mission, strategic priorities, and external presence. This role oversees core operational systems, faculty scheduling, hiring and onboarding processes, accreditation and data management, and the planning and execution of major events and engagement activities.
AND ROLE SCOPE OF TEAM AND/OR TASKS
- Event Planning, Engagement & Communications Leads full logistics, budget management, and communications for major DSB events, including:
Golf Tournament, Faculty Socials, Parfait Day (each semester), Convocation (each semester), Freshman Orientation, Adopt-a-Family, Outstanding Seniors, and Awards & Retirements. Supports coordination of additional engagement events, including Meet the Firms, Business Spotlight, and Professional Headshots. Develops materials and provides assistance to DSB Leadership and faculty for activities, events, and public media requests. - Budget Tracking & Planning Manages event budgets and tracks expenditures throughout the planning and execution cycle. Monitors DSB budget and produces regular budget variance reports for the DSB Leadership Team. Coordinates payments for facilities, speakers, travel, meals, and other DSB expenses.
