We are looking for a Paving Foreman to join our team in Grand Junction, CO. As a Paving Foreman with Quikrete Heavy Construction Materials, you will be responsible for the supervision of the Paving and Construction Crew, as well as performing various duties on construction and/or paving projects.
The Foreman handles the majority of aspects related to personnel management on‑site, makes decisions pertaining to production on a daily basis, and works side by side with laborers while manually completing any activity.

Responsibilities- Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task.
- Properly follow all company policies and OSHA/MSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment, reporting any problems to the Supervisor, Safety Manager, or Human Resources Manager.
- Delegate tasks to employees within the crew.
- Independently make decisions regarding production on a daily basis.
- Assist construction/paving crew with duties such as shoveling, raking, running a wheelbarrow, and safely backing/dumping trucks into pavers.
- Signal operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment, movement, and materials with shovel.
- Occasionally dig, spread, and level construction materials.
- Lifts, carries and holds material, tools and supplies.
- Assist in the placement, moving and dismantling of signs, barricades, cones and other traffic control devices.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- Proven ability to develop relationships and work with teams as both a leader and a participant.
- Working knowledge of customer specifications to ensure a quality project and avoid re‑work or punch list work.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills – building rapport, listening, presenting, giving and receiving feedback.
- High standard of ethics, integrity, and trust.
- Must be able to pass a pre‑employment criminal background check.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Moderate travel required; willing to work in or travel to other locations as needed.
- Must be available during non‑traditional work hours as needed.
- Must work independently as well as in groups.
- Must work under time constraints as needed.
