Position Summary:

Ascent Classical Academy of Grand Junction (ACAGJ) is a public charter school in the Grand Valley serving students in Kindergarten through 10th grade (with plans to expand through 12th grade in future years). ACAGJ is hiring Aftercare Tutors for the grammar school aftercare program for the  school year.

Our aftercare tutors model good character, support students in completing their homework, provide a safe space to play, and encourage healthy friendships. We are seeking candidates with a high standard of excellence, professional demeanor, warm rapport with students, clear communication with parents and other staff members, and a can-do attitude to join our team. The ideal candidate will be organized, diligent, and devoted to helping students grow in wisdom and virtue.

Position Requirements :

Experience working with children preferred CPR certification or willingness to acquire

Required Skills/Abilities:

High school diploma or equivalent

Working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications

Professional phone etiquette

Interpersonal skills

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds

Must be able to traverse classroom and building

Must be able to supervise outdoor recess periods for up to 40 minutes outdoor
