At Bohannan Huston, we are seeking a dedicated Engineer to join our Community Development and Planning Group. In this role, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement infrastructure solutions that enhance the built environment and improve quality of life.

• Infrastructure Design – Develop engineering designs for site grading, drainage, utilities, and roadway systems for residential, commercial, and mixed‑use developments.
• Master Planning – Collaborate on large‑scale master planning efforts, integrating land use, transportation, and environmental considerations to create cohesive community plans.
• Regulatory Compliance – Ensure designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including zoning codes, environmental standards, and permitting requirements.
• Client Interaction & Relationship Building – Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.
• Project Coordination – Work closely with architects, developers, planners, surveyors, and other professionals to coordinate project efforts and deliver integrated solutions.
• Construction Support – Provide support during the construction phase, including reviewing shop drawings, responding to RFIs, and conducting site visits to ensure design intent is met.

• Professional Experience – 3–7 years of experience in civil engineering with a focus on land development or site design.
• Education – Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Licensure – Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification required;
  Professional Engineer (PE) licensure a plus.
• Technical Skills – Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, HEC‑HMS, and other relevant engineering software.
• Land Development Knowledge – Understanding of land development processes, including site analysis, zoning, permitting, and construction documentation.
• Strong Communication Skills – Ability to effectively communicate technical information to clients, team members, and regulatory agencies.
• Problem‑Solving Abilities – Creative thinker with strong analytical skills to develop innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges.
