Rocksol, a Lochner company, is recruiting a Strategic Senior Project Manager in Colorado. The role involves building and strengthening relationships with municipalities, CDOT, local governments, and regional partners, while expanding Rocksol’s transportation presence throughout Colorado.

Your Impact
  • Lead and grow Rocksol’s design practice across Southern and/or Western Colorado, providing technical leadership and strategic direction.
  • Serve as the Engineer of Record, leading the design and delivery of transportation projects for CDOT, municipalities, counties, and other public agencies.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with municipalities, CDOT, local governments, and regional partners to expand Rocksol’s presence in Colorado.
  • Lead project pursuits, develop winning strategies, and secure new transportation work through strong client relationships and technical excellence.
  • Manage project scope, budget, schedule, and quality to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Mentor and develop engineering staff, building a high‑performing design team.
  • Collaborate with Rocksol’s Construction Management, Inspection, Materials Testing, and Geotechnical teams to deliver practical, construction-focused transportation solutions.
Who You Are
  • Colorado Professional Engineer (PE) with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
  • Six or more years of roadway/transportation design and project management experience in hydraulics, structures, and traffic, including role as Engineer of Record.
  • Extensive experience delivering transportation projects for CDOT and local public agencies.
  • Established relationships and a strong professional reputation within Colorado’s transportation industry.
  • Ability to foster and develop client relationships, win work, and grow a transportation practice.
  • Proficiency in Open Roads Designer;
    Civil 3D experience is a plus.
  • Collaborative leader with excellent communication skills and a passion for mentoring and developing engineering teams.

    Physical Requirements

    Intermittent sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, stooping, crawling, and lifting. Employees may need to lift and move light equipment up to 20 pounds and occasionally work near hazardous equipment and machinery.
