RSI is the primary support contractor for the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Legacy Management (LM). All work is conducted in accordance with the Legacy Management Support (LMS) contract statement of work (SOW)/Performance Work Statement (PWS) and in accordance with all applicable laws and LM/LMS policies and procedures. LM manages over 100 sites spanning several regulatory frameworks including the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA), the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), and Uranium Mill Tailings Radiation Control Act (UMTRCA).
PositionSummary
RSI is recruiting for a Site Lead who will be responsible for all site-related activities at their assigned CERCLA/RCRA site, to directly support the LM Site Manager. Work scope at CERCLA/RCRA sites typically includes operations to support groundwater remediation, environmental monitoring, reporting, and inspection and maintenance of institutional controls. Several sites are open to the public, and stakeholder engagement is an essential component.
Site Leads are responsible for ensuring safe execution of work conducted by their site’s project team.

Hiring Range: $110,000 - $ per year. (The anticipated starting salary is based on the posted minimum requirements for this position. The offered salary will be based upon the selected applicant’s education, training, and experience.)
This position is required to travel 25% of the time.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Plan, develop, review, and approve work products to meet Contract Deliverables that are identified in the SOW/PWS. This typically includes quarterly and annual reports, updates to Long-Term Stewardship Plans, CERCLA/RCRA-related documentation, and environmental monitoring reports.
- Manage scope schedule and budget via Earned Value Management System (EVMS) – develop Baseline and serve as Cost Account Manager for monthly financial reporting.
- Ensure close coordination with the LM Site Manager and with direct supervisor for reporting up the LMS chain of command.
- Oversee site staff responsible for Operations and Maintenance of groundwater treatment systems.
- Plan and authorize work under LMS’ Integrated Work Control Process , issue work via a Work Authorization Form .
- Maintain communication with LMS Emergency Management, and provide updates to the Site Emergency Response Information form as needed .
- Provide input for routine reporting – Weekly Site Operations and management update, Monthly TSR update, LM status requests, etc.
