OVERVIEW AND ROLE SCOPE OF TEAM AND/OR TASKS
This role supports the success of the Controller’s Office and is vital in ensuring the ongoing accuracy and timeliness of information important to managing the University’s financial resources, supporting strategic initiatives & outcomes, and ensuring compliance with fiscal rules and other regulatory requirements.
Financial management:
- Monitor and reconcile assigned general ledger accounts
- Review and analyze financial results
- Reconcile bank and investment accounts
- Coordinate fixed asset accounting including State funding receipts
- Assist with annual financial and compliance audit
- Inventory accounting for various campus auxiliaries
Assist with Management reporting and support:
- Board of Trustee and Investment Committee reports
- Investment tracking
- Liaison with student investment club
Regulatory compliance assistance:
- Communicating monthly financial results to State of Colorado
- Facilitate bond and debt compliance reporting
- Support University’s tax compliance review
- External tuition and financial performance reporting
- Periodic review of campus expenses ensuring compliance with Fiscal Rules
Other duties may be assigned as needed by our business.
