Pharmacist - Oncology

Western Colorado hospital cancer center is seeking an Oncology Pharmacist / Clinical Oncology Pharmacist

• Dedicated Oncology Pharmacist
• Evidence-based chemotherapy and medication management
• Full-time, onsite role with leadership exposure (serve as acting Pharmacy Director as needed)

• Prepare and compound oral, IV, topical, and enteral medications
• Monitor therapy for safety and efficacy; collaborate with providers to adjust regimens
• Counsel oncology patients on medication use, side effects, and adherence
• Review and verify oncology medication orders for accuracy and interactions
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and oversee workflow
• Maintain compliance, inventory control, and participate in quality initiatives

• Be able to do the job as described.
• Bachelor’s in Pharmacy required;
  Pharm
  
  D preferred with 1+ year related experience
• Active, unrestricted Colorado Pharmacist license
• BLS and ALS certifications required
• Oncology-focused clinical experience and chemotherapy compounding knowledge

Area info: Western, Colorado, a little over 2 hours to Aspen or Vail. Western Slope region, hub of Colorado's wine country. Colorado National Monument is west of the city, trail-lined and the part has red sandstone monoliths and canyons. There are lakes and mountains with mild weather year round.
