Position SummaryRSI is recruiting for a Knowledge Management Specialist who designs, implements, and continuously improves the organization’s Knowledge Management Program. Serving as a strategic partner across business functions, this role integrates KM practices, information governance, and digital workplace technologies to promote collaboration, innovation, and operational excellence. This position is responsible for developing and sustaining the KM governance framework, processes, and technology solutions.
The KM Specialist enables efficient access to trusted information, preserve institutional knowledge, and supports workforce continuity. Partners with Information Governance, Records Management, IT, and business stakeholders to maximize the value of organizational knowledge. In addition, ensures all KM initiatives align with regulatory requirements, organizational policies, and information security standards.

Hiring Range: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year. (The anticipated starting salary is based on the posted minimum requirements for this position. The offered salary will be based upon the selected applicant’s education, training, and experience.)
This position is required to travel less than 5% of the time.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Legacy Management Knowledge Management Program, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy, mission objectives, and operational priorities.
- Develop and maintain the Legacy Management Knowledge Management Strategy, roadmap, and governance framework to support enterprise knowledge sharing, retention, innovation, and workforce continuity.
- Design, implement, and manage knowledge lifecycle processes including knowledge creation, capture, validation, classification, storage, retrieval, archival, and disposition.
- Develop and administer knowledge repositories, collaboration platforms, and digital work spaces including SharePoint, Microsoft 365, and other enterprise content management systems.
- Partner with Information Governance, Records Management, Information Technology, and business stakeholders to ensure knowledge assets comply with organizational policies, records retention schedules, security requirements, and regulatory obligations.
- Facilitate the identification, capture, and transfer of critical institutional knowledge from subject matter experts to reduce knowledge loss and support workforce succession planning.
- Analyze business processes and workflows to identify opportunities to improve operational effectiveness through enhanced knowledge sharing, collaboration, and information accessibility.
- Establish and facilitate Communities of Practice (CoPs), lessons learned programs, and knowledge-sharing forums to encourage collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement across the organization.
