JOB TITLE: Building Materials Supervisor

JOB LOCATION: Grand Junction, Colorado (On-Site and In-Person)

FUNCTION: The Building Materials Supervisor oversees the timely and efficient fulfilment of Sunpro Customers’ orders.

REPORTING TO: Building Materials Location Manager SALARY: $65,000 - $85,000

KEY ACTIVITIES:

• Visualizes, fulfils, and implements the company vision and core values;
• Timely and correctly oversees the dispatch and delivery of materials to customers;
• Gathers information needed for deliveries and enters information in the computer;
• Continually monitors demands, dispatches delivery trucks, and verifies each load;
• Maintains complete and accurate documentation, reports, and sales records;
• Leads the oversight and maintenance of inventory;
• Assists in managing operational and sales activities;
• Assists customers in problem resolution;
• Reviews, understands, and adheres to Sunpro policies and procedures;
• Leads, coaches, and trains personnel under sphere of influence adhering to company and human resources guidelines and systems.
• May prepare daily cash on delivery (COD), special bank deposits, and other COD preparation;
• Maintains insurable driving record;
• Provides oversight of yard vehicles and equipment;
• Serves as a safety champion, ensuring compliance with all operations and safety requirements;
• Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• Strong leadership and communication skills;
• Ability to develop and mentor others & foster teamwork.
• Basic knowledge of construction industry;
• Effective organizational skills;
• Strong computer and 10-key skills;
• General mathematic skills.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED);
• Bachelor of Science degree in business or another related field highly preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Physical Work Requirements – Medium/heavy: exerting up to 50 lbs of force regularly;
• Repetitive motion associated with operating equipment;
• Regular exposure to the elements;
• Frequent bending, standing, lifting, and ongoing physical activity;
