We are looking to add an autobody, metal, and paint technician to join our small team at High Desert Scouts Inc in Grand Junction, Colorado. The ideal candidate will have a passion for classic vehicles and proven experience restoring them. The business addresses all aspects of the restoration process in-house, from mechanical, welding, fabrication, bodywork, electrical and trimming, so the candidate should demonstrate skills in these areas.

The individual’s enthusiasm, energy, and pace of delivery are extremely important for this role as they directly affect workmanship quality. They must be well organized and methodical to ensure projects are completed quickly to the exacting quality standards required for all projects, whether on our vehicles or customer‑owned projects. The position is available immediately, and the hourly/salary package will depend upon the candidate’s skills and experience.

• Experience working on classic cars to a professional standard.
• Metalwork skills, corrosion rectification, hand fabrication, welding.
• Body preparation skills prior to painting.
• Paint rectification and detailing experience.
• Classic vehicle electrical system knowledge.
• Ability to trim vehicle interiors with high quality trim kits.
• Ability to work as part of a team or unsupervised.
• Willingness to learn new skills.
• Positive can‑do attitude and good resilience to problematic tasks.
• Organized and methodical.
• Representative – able to meet and discuss the project with the customer if required.
• Punctual.
