Registered Nurse – Hospice

Start date:
July 13, 2026 | Duration: 13 weeks | Weekly pay: $1,795-$1,828 per week
Shift: 3x12‑hour nights (7:00 pm–7:00 am), rotating

July 13, 2026 - Location/Setting:
Grand Junction, CO area; hospice service across multiple care settings (home, facilities, hospitals, hospice center) - Guaranteed hours: 0
- Provide after‑hours hospice nursing care across diverse settings, including homes, assisted living, skilled facilities, hospitals, and a hospice care center
- Quickly assess patient and family needs; determine symptom management and urgent visit interventions
- Administer medications, monitor vitals, manage comfort measures, and respond to acute changes in patient condition
- Develop and modify care plans in collaboration with on‑call teams; document findings clearly and promptly
- Communicate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure aligned, compassionate care
- Offer end‑of‑life support and symptom relief during after‑hours encounters; maintain safety and infection control standards
- Work from home between patient visits and travel to patient locations as required
- Current, active Registered Nurse license in Colorado
- Hospice or palliative care experience preferred; not required
- Ability to work 7:00 pm–7:00 am shifts with rotating nights
- Comfort delivering care across home, assisted living, skilled facilities, hospitals, and hospice settings; capable of coordinating care remotely between visits
- Willingness to travel within the Grand Junction/Mesa County area
- Dedicated travel nurse recruiter and assignment support
- 24/7 access to assignment support throughout the contract
- Onboarding and credentialing assistance to expedite start
- Weekly pay issued on a per‑week basis
- 13‑week contract with potential extension opportunities
