Ferris Care Center, Grand Junction, CO

Schedule:

3 days on, 12-hour shifts; 9:00am–9:00pm, rotating days with occasional on-call/weekend requirement

Sign-On Bonus: $10,000

Pay Range:

• ASN: $38.02–$41.75/hour
• BSN: $39.20–$43.05/hour

The Ferris Care Center (FCC) team provides short-term care in a home-like setting where friends and family can be present during the most difficult times. Nurses focus on intensive medical end-of-life care for patients who can no longer be at home but would rather not be hospitalized. Our approach to care includes comprehensive physical, emotional, social, and spiritual support.

This position is responsible for ensuring the highest quality of patient care in the FCC setting by following organizational policies/procedures, regulations, industry standards and fiscal accountability. The charge nurse oversees the emotional and physical health and safety of every person in the FCC inpatient unit – staff, patients and family members.

• RN with a minimum of 3 years acute care experience in medical/surgical, ICU, ER or other acute care settings
• Current Colorado RN license maintained throughout employment
• Current CPR certification maintained throughout employment
• Valid Colorado driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to navigate emotional or high-stress situations with professionalism and compassion
• Experience with EHR systems and Microsoft Office applications
• Participates in the on-call, holiday, weekend, and after-hours rotation
