Registered Nurse (RN) – Professional caregiver responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care using the nursing process and technology.
Responsibilities- Assess
:
Performs appropriate assessment of physical, social, and psychological status, including cognitive, communicative, and developmental skills. Seeks and evaluates information from the interdisciplinary team—patient, family, physician, non‑nursing disciplines, and support staff. - Plan
:
Uses assessment information and critical‑thinking skills to collaboratively develop individualized plans of care. Actively seeks input from patients, families, team, and physicians to include necessary education. Plans and prepares patients for further support needs after the current episode of care is completed (e.g., teaching, referrals, follow‑up). - Implement
:
Directs the interdisciplinary care team via delegation, coordination, and collaboration. Provides or delegates care in accordance with the plan of care, guidelines, and professional licensure provisions. Demonstrates the ability to set priorities and coordinate patient care delivery through effective time, supply, and resource management. - Evaluate
:
Evaluates patient response to interventions by reviewing achievement of goals, clinical outcomes, and patient/family satisfaction. Revises the plan of care as needed and reassesses changes appropriately. - Professionalism
:
Promotes the nursing profession and participates in the development of others. Integrates legal and ethical standards into practice, complies with regulatory standards, practices within scope of licensure, provides accurate and timely documentation, and understands legal implications of care delivery.
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice.
- Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of employment.
- Registered Nurses with less than 12 months of experience must obtain a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within four (4) years of hire.
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
- BSN required as of the last update on 4/27/2025; employees hired or promoted prior to this date will be held to the minimum requirements in place at that time.
Ongoing need to see and read information, labels, and assess patient needs; operate monitors; identify equipment and supplies.
Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors require verbal communication and the ability to hear and understand spoken information, alarms, and urgent needs.
Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision; frequent computer use and typing for documentation and medication preparation.
Expected to lift and utilize full range of motion to transfer patients, bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items, may be moved. Walk, assist, and transport/ambulate patients and distribute supplies and equipment.
May be required to stand for extended periods and navigate crowded and busy rooms with equipment and cords on the floor.

Scheduled Weekly Hours36 hours per week (Full‑time nights 7 p.m. – 7 a.m.)
CompensationHourly rate: $36.71 – $56.17 (actual rate dependent upon experience).
