The staff RN utilizes the nursing process by using technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence-based practice, and coordination of care with other health team members.
Our iFlex Internal Travel Agency is hiring for a Registered Nurse role y’s Regional Hospital, a Magnet-designated Level II Trauma Center in Grand Junction, Colorado.
About the iFlex RN RoleAs an iFlex RN, you will be part of Intermountain’s internal travel agency, supporting multiple sites across our network. This role requires adaptability and a strong commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care. You’ll deliver nursing care across various units, work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
The iFlex RN assumes responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for patients. You will use clinical knowledge, critical thinking, and evidence-based practice while maintaining the flexibility to float to other units within the facility as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Assess physical, psychological, and social status of patients, including developmental and cognitive abilities.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to direct and coordinate care.
- Develop individualized care plans based on assessment data and clinical judgment.
- Provide or delegate patient care in accordance with care plans, guidelines, and licensure.
- Prepare patients for discharge needs, including education, referrals, and follow-up care.
- Evaluate patient responses and adapt interventions accordingly.
- Maintain compliance with legal and ethical standards and document care accurately.

- Gastrointestinal disorders
- Respiratory conditions
- Cardiac care (tele monitoring)
- Kidney and liver disease
- Post-operative surgical care
Job Requirements
- See and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
- Frequent interaction with patient care providers, patients, and visitors requiring verbal communication and rapid comprehension during emergency situations.
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy, including frequent computer use and typing for documentation.
- Lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients; bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment of varying weights.
- Walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients, and distribute supplies and equipment; push/pull gurneys and portable equipment, navigate crowded and busy rooms.
- May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU or Med/Surg experience.
- Current RN license in the state of practice.
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
- Competitive pay in line with local and national travel RN rates.
- Pay rates reviewed quarterly and adjusted based on market trends; each assignment has a consistent pay rate.
- For assignments more than 50 miles from the employee’s home, pro-rated monthly housing reimbursement will be provided (employees responsible for securing own housing during each travel assignment).

- Accept assignments in any Intermountain region:
Utah, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, and Nevada.
