Job Overview
As a Field Merchandiser, you’ll work independently to showcase your organizational and time‑management skills, build retailer relationships, and serve as the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support fellow team members with seasonal resets and installations as needed. Occasionally you may work with other products from partnering companies in the stores you service.

- Your starting hourly pay rate will be $15.00–$17.00, depending on your skills and experience.
- Paid training is provided through live, hands‑on instruction and virtual classroom sessions.

- This is a part‑time position with a variable schedule during the week.
- Average weekly hours are between 7–10 hours.
- Availability before and after major holidays, which may include weekends, is required.
- Availability to support seasonal changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.
- Perform service work in Hallmark departments of various retail stores (grocery, drug, department, mass retailers).
- Use a mobile device to restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark products; communicate with your supervisor, report time, provide feedback, and complete required surveys.
- Provide professional and courteous interaction with store employees, management, and customers.
- Responsible for the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores.
- Support holiday operations (Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas) with additional days and extended hours, and potentially work on the holidays themselves.
- Participate in department resets and installations (e.g., building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments, resetting card sections). Notify two weeks in advance for remodel assignments; these may include evenings or weekends.
- Collaborate with the Hallmark field organization and other merchandisers for team support as needed.
This is a physically demanding job that requires a high level of energy and a sense of urgency. You must consistently push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds throughout the workday and up to 50 pounds on occasion. You will also be required to kneel, squat, walk, stand, and may need to climb stairs and step ladders.
BasicQualifications
- At least 18 years of age.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English.
- Ability to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
- Proficiency with a digital hand‑held device to open and read documents and interpret information.
- Access to a Wi‑Fi network and the Internet.
- Consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
