Retail Assistant, Retail & Store Manager

Discount Tire is seeking an Assistant Manager to support daily retail operations in our automotive service center. In this role, you'll lead and coach store associates, ensuring exceptional customer service and safe, efficient tire and wheel services. Responsibilities include overseeing workflow, assisting with staffing and training, maintaining inventory and visual standards, and resolving customer concerns. Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager with daily retail operations, including staffing, workflow, and service quality.
• Supervise and support team members performing tire and wheel installation, repair, balancing, and related services.
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, assessing needs, and recommending appropriate tire and wheel options.
• Train, coach, and mentor employees on service procedures, sales techniques, safety practices, and company policies.
• Help manage staff schedules, timekeeping, and daily task assignments to meet store demand and labor goals.
• Oversee opening and closing procedures, including cash handling, basic reporting, and store security protocols.
• Monitor inventory levels of tires, wheels, and related supplies; assist with ordering, receiving, and stock organization.
• Ensure all work areas, equipment, and the sales floor are clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
• Support implementation of in-store promotions, merchandising, and local marketing initiatives.
• Resolve customer concerns or service issues promptly and professionally, escalating to the Store Manager when needed.
