Device Tech

Intermountain Health seeks a Device Tech to support safe, reliable operation of medical equipment across our care settings. In this patient-centered role, you will install, inspect, and troubleshoot clinical devices, perform preventive maintenance, document work in asset systems, and coordinate repairs with vendors and care teams. You'll partner closely with nurses, providers, and IT to minimize downtime, educate users, and uphold regulatory, safety, and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and test medical devices according to standards and protocols
• Perform routine inspections, calibration, and preventive maintenance on clinical equipment
• Troubleshoot and resolve device issues promptly to minimize clinical downtime
• Document all maintenance, repairs, and testing in asset and ticketing systems
• Coordinate vendor service and parts replacement as needed
• Collaborate with nurses, providers, and IT to ensure safe, effective device use
• Educate end users on basic device operation and care
• Follow regulatory, safety, and infection prevention guidelines for medical equipment
• Participate in on-call or rotating coverage to support critical equipment needs
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and technology upgrades across facilities.
