Unarmed Security Guard

Job Store Staffing is hiring Front Lobby, Unarmed Security Guard to support a secure, youth-centered facility in the Grand Junction, CO area! This role is focused on maintaining a safe and controlled entry point while providing a professional and respectful presence.

The Unarmed Security Guard is a non-engagement role. If suspicious activity is observed, you will report it via radio rather than intervene directly.

Pay rate: $23/hr

Schedules Available:

• Monday-Friday; 6am-2pm
• Monday-Friday; 12pm-8pm
• Saturday & Sunday; 6am-2pm
• Saturday & Sunday; 12pm-8pm

• Search all bags, deliveries, and personal items entering the facility.
• Monitor individuals passing through a metal detector.
• Conduct wanding or pat-downs when necessary.
• Ensure only approved items are brought inside.
• Perform exterior walkthroughs to observe for suspicious activity (as needed).
• Identify concerns such as attempted fence breaches or contraband.

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Previous security experience OR strong customer service background.
• Comfortable enforcing rules in a professional and respectful manner.
• Ability to remain alert, calm, and composed in a structured environment.
• Strong communication skills.

• Weapon-free facility.
• No phones or personal electronics allowed inside (must be left in vehicle).
• Business casual dress code (belt and closed-toe shoes required).
