Security Officer

Pay: Up to $18.00 per hour

Schedule: Multi-Shift Coverage Position

Citadel Security USA is seeking dependable and professional Security Officers to support operations at a healthcare facility in Grand Junction. This position plays an important role in maintaining a safe environment for patients, visitors, medical staff, and contractors. Officers assigned to this location will conduct interior and exterior patrols, monitor facility activity, assist with incident response, and provide a visible security presence throughout the property.

The role requires strong observation skills, sound judgment, and the ability to communicate effectively in a healthcare setting.

• Conduct routine patrols throughout hospital buildings, parking areas, and surrounding grounds
• Monitor activity to identify safety concerns, security risks, or policy violations
• Maintain awareness of patient, visitors, and staff activity throughout assigned areas
• Perform scheduled exterior inspections of entrances, parking lots, and access points
• Observe and report unusual activity, suspicious behavior, or hazardous conditions
• Utilize CCTV systems to monitor designated areas and support security operations
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and service calls according to site procedures
• Apply de-escalation techniques when interacting with individuals in stressful situations
• Complete accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation using Track Tik
• Communicate effectively with hospital personnel, visitors, supervisors, and emergency responders
• Follow all client requirements, post orders, and company policies
• Support a professional, respectful, and customer-focused environment

• Valid driver's license required
• Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to walk and patrol for extended periods during an 8-hour shift
• Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
• Basic computer and report-writing skills
• Ability to maintain professionalism in a healthcare environment
• Dependable attendance and reliable work habits

• Previous experience in healthcare security, hospital security, or related security roles
• Experience monitoring CCTV systems
• Familiarity with electronic reporting platforms such as Track Tik
• Training in conflict resolution, crisis intervention, or de-escalation techniques
• Customer service experience in a public-facing environment

Selected candidates must be able to:

• Complete all required pre-employment screening requirements
• Provide required vaccination records or obtain facility-approved medical clearance

• Maintain all site-specific credentials required for assignment
