Role Description

Installers for this company are subcontractors and are responsible for having their own transportation, tools and insurance. Proof of these things is a requirement. The Carpet Installer will be responsible for measuring, cutting, and installing various types of flooring materials including carpets. Day-to-day tasks include preparing surfaces, ensuring proper installation, using industry tools and techniques, and consistently delivering top-quality results. Ability to lift heavy furniture and carpet roles is a must.

The role also involves maintaining a high standard of craftsmanship, working collaboratively with team members, and providing excellent customer service. We are specifically looking for a high level installer that excels in patterned carpets.

Qualifications

  • Highly experienced in carpet installation, including measuring, cutting, and laying carpet-minimum of 5 years experience in pattern carpets.
  • Experience with flooring preparation and use of relevant tools
  • Strong understanding of safety procedures and best practices in construction
  • Ability to read and interpret floor plans or installation instructions
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Prior experience in customer service and collaboration with teams
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy materials
  • Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license and valid business insurance.
  • Experience in installing a variety of flooring materials beyond carpets is an advantage.
  • Professional demeanor with sales staff and customers.
