OverviewThis is a frontline technical role focused on commissioning, programming, setup, testing, troubleshooting and servicing of controls systems on assigned projects. The position involves on-site work with customers, documentation of verification and close-out, and collaboration with team leaders to meet customer requirements while ensuring safety and quality.

- Commissioning, programming, setting up graphics, communications link, end to end testing, troubleshooting and servicing on assigned projects.
- Documenting point to point verification, sequence of operations validation and job close out requirements.
- Representing the company by serving as the direct customer contact and servicing products and equipment on assigned projects, ensuring customer satisfaction by identifying, diagnosing and repairing equipment and systems at the customer’s location.
- Coordinating with team leader and customer to understand requirements for on-site installation and repairs, forecasting issues, gathering materials and synchronizing on-site work.
- Keeping current on Trane products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair of direct digital control systems.
- Enforcing safety to the highest standards and maintaining security and accountability of company assets.
- Displaying team effort and dedication to customers by maintaining flexibility to work overtime and weeks as needed, including occasional overnight stays.
- A High School Diploma or equivalent required, and typically at least 2-3 years of experience in HVAC/Controls or electrical troubleshooting. Technical School or formal training is preferred.
- Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software and working proficiency with handheld devices (e.g., smartphone, iPad).
- Must possess a valid driver’s license with no major or frequent violations in the previous 3 years, including DUI, hit & run, license suspension, reckless driving, or multiple smaller infractions.
