United Companies, a CRH Company, provides construction materials and services in Colorado.
Position OverviewThis is a skilled position that is responsible for tracking, compiling, and analyzing data required for the effective administration of construction contracts. This position supports Estimators, Project Managers, and Accounting Staff.
Pay ranges from $25 to $30 an hour, based on experience.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)- Create, organize, and maintain construction contract files.
- Prepare and process purchase orders.
- Prepare and maintain subcontract agreements.
- Review and prepare bid bonds, request performance and payment bonds, and maintain bond company files.
- Supply certificates of insurance and maintain insurance files.
- Prepare lean waivers and request subcontractor information and approval.
- Review contracts, verifying accuracy, and resolving discrepancies in line with company rules and guidelines.
- Liaise between parties regarding contract development, and negotiate terms and conditions, and draft and revise changes as required.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience- High School diploma or GED required.
- 2 years of experience as a Contract Administrator or equivalent, preferred.
- Experience in a building materials/construction industry preferred.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Must be 18 years in age or older.
- Must pass pre‑employment physical, drug screen, and criminal background check.
- Report to the office dressed appropriately and ready to begin work at the designated start time.
- Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Willingness to work independently within a team environment and assist the team with other duties as required.
- Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required (less than 10% of the time).
- Proficient knowledge of legal requirements pertaining to relevant contracts.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, and ability to work with partnering departments.
- Effective use of office equipment including computers, copiers, ten‑key adding machine, printers, etc.
