The General Facilities Maintenance Technician will perform routine maintenance and repairs to ensure the safety, functionality, and aesthetic of Walmart stores. Tasks include diagnosing and repairing food equipment, performing preventative maintenance, training store associates, and maintaining accurate work‑order documentation.

• Maintain and repair facilities, equipment, and assets using plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling, and food equipment skills.
• Use the work‑order management system to receive reactive repair work orders and document repair activities.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required safety and equipment training.

• 18 years or older
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Can lift up to 50 lbs. and work at heights
• Able to sit or stand for long periods and work in various temperatures
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license
• Vocational or technical certification and 1 year experience, or 2 years overall experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade

• Vocational or technical certification and 3 years’ experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade; or 5 years’ experience in the same trades.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Eligible for a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).

• Completion of a 2‑year vocational or technical trade program.
• License in the trade in the city or state where the job is located.
• Intermediate proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, email, and presentation software.

Hourly wage range for this position is $19.00–$35.00. Premiums may apply based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
