  • Integrate fire alarm systems with sprinkler flow switches, fire suppression systems, emergency power/generator interfaces, and building management systems as required
  • Conduct sensitivity testing, calibration, battery maintenance, standby power testing and replacement, and insulation resistance/multimeter testing

  • Respond to service calls and participate in an oncall rotation as required; communicate with project managers, contractors, and clients
  • Maintain tool and vehicle inventory, comply with site safety requirements, and complete required paperwork for permits and inspections

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical training, certificate, or associate degree in electronics, fire protection technology, or related field preferred
  • 2+ years of handson experience installing, servicing, and commissioning commercial fire alarm systems (experience may vary by company needs)
  • Working knowledge of fire alarm systems including FACPs, addressable and conventional panels, NACs, SLCs, and common field devices (smoke, heat, duct detectors, manual stations)

  • Ability to read and produce riser diagrams, schematics, and asbuilt drawings; competent with fire alarm software and reporting tools
  • Sensitivity testing and calibration experience, plus knowledge of notification appliance placement and ADA compliance
  • Experience integrating fire alarm systems with sprinkler flow switches, suppression systems, and emergency power/generator interfaces
  • NICET certification (or working toward NICET) preferred but not required
