An overview of this position entails…This position is responsible for providing crisis intervention and referral services to persons in crisis due to domestic violence when they call the domestic violence hotline or walk into a program office.

This includes responding in-person to the office or partner agencies and bringing residents into the safe house.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide contact for crisis intervention callers and walk-ins, as needed.
  • Provide direct service to clients by answering the crisis line, meeting with walk-in and safe house clients, and conducting initial client interviews. Interviews may include performing intake and assessment, developing safety plans, offering ongoing case management, and assigning and scheduling appointments with Case Managers.
  • Make appropriate referrals as necessary.
  • Maintain documentation with accurate, directive case notes and all other forms required by the Program model.
  • Maintain and compile statistics and reports in a timely manner.
  • Issue 911 phones for clients who are in danger. Maintain phones for ready use.
  • Assume staff back-up duties as needed on an on-call basis.
  • Data entry as appropriate.
  • Running errands as needed.

    Education & Experience

    High School Diploma or equivalent and two years of work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Certificates, Licenses & Registrations

    • Valid Colorado Driver's License
