Tractor Trailer Driver - RTD

Job Summary

Full‑Time Monday‑Saturday (Day off TBD). 0700‑1930 (Shift TBD). Swing Driver covering open routes for vacation/open routes.

Location:

Grand Junction, CO (GJTR).

Drives tractor‑trailer vehicle to designated locations and operates mechanized loading/unloading equipment. Performs other duties as assigned.

• FMCSA covered safety‑sensitive position; medical exam required.
• Subject to regulatory alcohol & drug testing for marijuana, PCP, amphetamines, cocaine & opioids.
• Must obtain & maintain a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with hazardous materials endorsement (HME) for the vehicle assigned.
• Must maintain a good driving record per company policy.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must read, speak and understand English sufficiently to recognize traffic signs, communicate with traffic‑safety officials and respond to official inquiries and directions following FMCSA guidance.
• Neat appearance required due to customer contact.

High School Diploma or GED.

Six (6) months Fed Ex Express experience preferred.

• Ability to drive a manual transmission truck (preferred).
• Ability to operate mechanized loading equipment / GSE.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and maneuver packages over 50 lbs with equipment or assistance.
• Customer contact & package handling experience preferred.
• Good human‑relations and verbal communication skills.
• Neat appearance, as customer contact is involved.

• Availability Monday through Saturday with day off to be determined.
• Work hours within 7:00 am to 7:30 pm. Shifts are based on operational needs.
• Applicants must possess a CDL and HME.
• Hourly rate $23.09 (non‑negotiable).

Hourly rate range: $23.09‑$33.84.
