Position

Description:

Pay Rate: $21.00/hour. The primary focus of the Warehouse II role is the movement of product within the warehouse. In addition, this role will serve as a back‑up delivery driver for non‑CDL trucks. This is a general labor position that prioritizes and picks product to fill orders, and physically moves and lifts product weighing up to 150 pounds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in administrative tasks, such as handling and preparation of paperwork.
  • May assist in the daily closing of the warehouse.
  • Assist in verifying all incoming and outgoing products for accuracy in terms of amount, size and type, informing management of inventory and supply shortages, and assisting in actual periodic inventory counts.
  • Compile and submit regular reports of damaged, outdated stock or supplies, over‑ and under‑shipments, return of products to vendors, and segregate defective product from normal inventory flow.
  • Prioritize and pick material to fill orders and stage product for loading.
  • Designate and organize warehouse stock by product line and by physical alignment, allowing sufficient space for overflow.
  • Load and unload delivery trucks – lifting products weighing up to approximately 50 pounds.
  • Handle tires (e.g., rolling, destacking, team lifting) greater than approximately 50 pounds.
  • Operate powered industrial vehicles (forklifts, pallet jacks, order pickers, etc.) safely and maintain an operator license, if required.
  • Perform periodic facilities maintenance and custodial/housekeeping tasks, such as cleaning the parking lot, loading dock, and surrounding area; keep floors clear of debris, maintain bathrooms, and assist in daily closing down of the warehouse.

Qualifications

High School or GED degree. 1–2 years of related experience preferred.

Physical Demands / Working Conditions
  • Physical Demands – Occasionally standing, walking, sitting, using hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reaching with hands and arms; climbing stairs; balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling; talking, hearing, tasting and/or smelling; lifting products weighing up to approximately 50 pounds; handling tires greater than approximately 50 pounds. Close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision, as well as the ability to adjust focus are required.
  • Work Environment – Exposure to weather conditions prevalent at the time; noise level usually moderate.
  • Travel Required – 5% of the time.
