Data Analyst, Business Intelligence
Our client is seeking a business-minded Business Data Analyst to dig deep into operational data, uncover efficiencies, and drive strategic decision-making across our MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) organization. In this high-impact role, you will be more than a report builder—you will act as an investigative problem solver analyzing how our business operates, directly shaping the depth and range of a $27M+ inventory portfolio supporting a fleet of 450+ aircraft.
This position is a temporary (contract) position expected to last ~12 months. Contractors are employed by Segula Technologies and placed on assignment to our client facility
Data Analysis and Reporting: 50%
- Validates, organizes and assembles raw data into a monthly report for management
- Analyses raw data and formulates strategies in an effort to identify cost drivers, increase stock accuracy and efficiency while reducing inventory/logistic cost and mitigating performance penalty risks
- Establishes, measures and reports key performance metrics relating to the overall cost drivers, stock availability, efficiency and forecast accuracy
Data Collection and Management: 30%
- Coordinates the regular exchange of data across multiple platforms both internally and externally
- Consolidates all relevant raw data to one central organized location
- Performs regular validation across all platforms to ensure data consistency and accuracy
- Establishes and maintains data repository via internal platform (i.e. Skywise, App Sheet)
Forecast Management: 20%
- Ensures that MRO forecast requirements are communicated across all relevant entities (i.e. AH Germany, Global Supply Chain, Procurement…) and implemented as identified through validated analysis
- Tracks and coordinates forecasted removals, repairs and material requirements for all TBO (Time Between Overhaul) and SLL (Service Life Limit) assets with their applicable repair locations (i.e. external suppliers, AH Germany, DCR…)
- Coordinates and deliver and maintain quarterly (or as needed) forecast requirements with global supply chain, key vendors, and company partners
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Statistics, Aeronautics, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). - Experience:
Minimum 2 years of dedicated data analysis, business reporting, and operational performance metric tracking. - Core Technical
Competencies:
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets; ability to attain general SAP proficiency ASAP - Analytical Mindset:
Proven ability to perform deep, investigative business analysis—digging into raw operational data to identify root causes, streamline workflows, and facilitate executive decision-making. - Work Authorization & Logistics:
Authorized to work in the US without current or future visa sponsorship; able to work 90% onsite with up to 10% domestic/international travel.
- Data Visualization & BI:
Practical experience building dynamic dashboards using Tableau. - Automation & Scripting:
Strong preference for candidates well-versed in Apps Script or Office Script, with familiarity using AI tools like Gemini to drive departmental efficiency. - Databases & Repositories:
Familiarity with aviation/fleet data platforms like Skywise (raw fleet data) and secondary data repository tools like App Sheet or SharePoint. - Enterprise Software:
Hands-on experience utilizing Salesforce. - Domain Expertise:
Experience analyzing aviation fleet data, forecasting MRO component life cycles (TBO/SLL assets), or managing aerospace supply chain demand.
