Responsibilities- Operate straight or articulated rubber-tired loader with a front-mounted hydraulic bucket or scoop to lift and transport bulk materials to and from storage or processing areas, to feed conveyors, hoppers, or chutes, and to load trucks or railcars.
- Shift gears, press pedals, and turn the steering wheel to operate the loader; move levers to lower and tilt the bucket and drive the loader to the work site; dump material as required.
- Perform routine maintenance on the loader, including lubricating, fueling, and cleaning.
- Education:
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent years of experience. - Certification:
Proper certification required.
- Appropriate training and experience required.
- Practice good safety habits and work in dusty or dirty surroundings.
- Follow instructions and meet set standards; judge distances and slopes accurately; make decisions based on verifiable standards.
- Physically capable: stoop, bend, crouch; use hands, arms, and legs; see well (with or without correction); lift up to 50 pounds, with frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
