Overview
The Laborer is responsible for safely supporting concrete crews with preparing and maintaining construction projects at demolition, building, highway, and heavy construction sites. This position offers an On the Job Training Program (OJT) to help you develop your skills and advance your career.

- Measure distances from grade stakes, drive stakes, and maintain accurate grade lines.
- Apply bolts, nails, a‑lines, and blocks under forms as needed.
- Signal operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery to meet grade specifications.
- Level earth to fine grade specifications using pick and shovel.
- Mix concrete using a portable mixer.
- Float, trowel, or screed freshly poured concrete to create a smooth surface.
- Join, sew, and seal pipe sections.
- Erect scaffolding, shoring, and braces.
- Perform tasks requiring dexterous use of hands and tools, such as sawing lumber, dismantling forms, and removing projects from concrete.
- Minimum of 1 year of construction experience; heavy construction experience preferred.
- Ability to follow specific directions and perform a variety of duties that may change frequently.
- Follow a set procedure and work within standards of accuracy.
- Work safely at all times, outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Physical requirements:
stand or walk for long periods; use arms and hands to reach, handle, and manipulate objects; lift and carry materials weighing 50–100 pounds; climb ladders, scaffolds, and other structures; stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl; see clearly (with or without corrective lenses).
