Job Description
Trinity Alliance is looking for a talented cost control project manager that has a personal and professional interest in executing cost control on large construction projects. This individual will report to the Director of Project Controls and be responsible for implementing cost control processes and principles at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas, TX. This is a great opportunity for a candidate interested in making a positive impact on the largest construction project currently in Texas.
Trinity Alliance (TA) is the construction manager for the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center. TA is a Joint Venture led by AECOM Hunt and Turner, with BOWA, PMC, EJ Smith, Source, GCC and CORE CMCI as partners. The Associate Partners are represented by Acari, Mahuya, LeVis, R.M. Chin, Copeland, Othon and STL.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:- Work with company financial systems and processes.
- Develop proficiency in the use of company cornerstone systems and provide cost data in formats necessary to control the project.
- Understand financial terminology and measures and recognize the financial impact of various project actions.
- Assist in analyzing and using financial data to identify key project issues.
- Be able to use drawings and specifications in the establishment of project baseline data.
- Develop knowledge of accounting principles.
- Assist in assembling data for trending and forecasting.
- Prepare analysis of progress trends and cost impact. May participate in reviewing and approving contractor invoices.
- Have knowledge of earned value methodology.
- Collect and analyze data on manpower, labor hour, and labor cost requirements versus budget limitations.
- Collect and analyze data for tracking actual cost to funding limitations.
- Assist in tracking purchase orders, subcontract commitments, and expenditures.
- Possess knowledge of scope control and change management.
- Assist with the creation of baseline budgets.
- Have exposure to scheduling process concepts and principles.
- Have exposure to performance management and cost/schedule integration concepts and principles.
- Support the project reporting process as required.
- Participate in project cost review meetings.
- Gather data for procedure development.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction, engineering, architecture, finance, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Four (4) years of experience in a relevant role.
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction
- AACE Certified Cost Professional (CCP)
- PMI Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple
