Facilities Project Specialist (Temporary)
Location: Grand Prairie, TX
Position Type: Temporary (Up to 24 Months)
Pay Rate: $43.26–$54.80/hour
Position OverviewSeeking a Facilities Project Specialist (Temporary) to support facilities construction and infrastructure projects at our Grand Prairie, Texas location. This role is responsible for coordinating and managing facility improvement projects while ensuring compliance with applicable building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
The ideal candidate will have experience managing construction or facilities projects, strong project coordination skills, and the ability to work independently while leading cross-functional teams.
Important: Candidates who are not currently located in the Dallas–Fort Worth (DFW) area must be willing to relocate at their own expense. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Facilities Construction, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in operations, maintenance, or construction involving:
- Solar generation sites/projects,
- Electrical utility systems, or
- Electric generation.
- Minimum of 2 years of Facilities or Construction Project Management experience as a:
- Project Manager,
- Assistant Project Manager, or
- Project Controls Specialist.
- Valid state-issued driver's license.
- Ability to travel domestically up to 5%.
- Must qualify as a U.S. Person under ITAR regulations (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident/green card holder, or person covered under an existing ITAR license).
- Working knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, and ADA standards.
- Current knowledge of International Building Code (IBC), industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.
- Experience supporting significant construction or renovation projects.
- Ability to lead and motivate a diverse workforce.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to prepare detailed project status reports.
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace.
- Experience using Microsoft Project or similar project management software.
- Master's degree or equivalent experience in Facilities Construction, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of Facilities or Construction Project Management experience.
- One of the following:
- 3+ years as a Field Construction Engineer or Building Design Engineer; or
- 3+ years as a skilled tradesperson or trade supervisor (electrical, plumbing, mechanical, or building construction).
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- General knowledge of FAA, EASA, and ICAO standards.
- Experience with estimating, budgeting, and project scheduling.
- SAP knowledge.
- AutoCAD knowledge.
- Hourly Pay: $43.26–$54.80/hour
