Assistant Construction Superintendent​/Foreman

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Construction Superintendent or Foreman with forklift certification to provide support in the daily operations of the construction project. The ideal candidate will be local and ready to prove their skills and ability to succeed. This position will not pay per diems. Potential future opportunity for proven skills, strong work ethic and commitment to excellence in their role.

The candidate will follow direction from the site superintendent and be responsible for some hands on work,receiving deliveries, unloading materials and inventory of materials, minor carpentry work, trash removal, and other duties as directed by superior. This role requires a thorough understanding of construction processes and jobsite safety.

• Provide support in the daily operations of the construction project, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
• Ability to understand and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project plans is a plus.
• Assist and follow direction given by the site Superintendent.
• This position will require some hands on work.
• Receive deliveries, unload materials and maintain inventory of materials.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, coordinate logistics, quick thinking, adaptability to resolve unexpected issues, and maintain a positive work environment.
• Strong ability to communicate with workers, supervisors, and external stakeholders clearly and effectively.
• Maintain good communication and regular updates to the Construction Superintendent, flagging potential delays or concerns that could impact the project.

• Proven experience as an assistant superintendent or similar role within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.
• Certified to drive forklift.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints is a plus.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with leadership abilities.
• Must provide hands-on approach to get the job done.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work with tools.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $47,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
