JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide regulatory guidance to internal customers.
- Review technical data such as engineering drawings to determine the appropriate export classification.
- Make access control determinations for SHE USA's facility and IT systems.
- Classify products for export such as determining the appropriate USML, ECCN, and Harmonized Tariff Schedule classifications.
- Draft, submit and manage export authorizations.
- Interface with internal functions (i.e., Program Management, Supply Chain) to ensure all work processes are in compliance with U.S. trade regulations.
- Draft and update procedures, instructions, forms, and templates.
- Manage daily export activities including interaction with freight forwarders.
- Review international shipments to determine the proper export authorization.
- Provide compliance training to internal customers.
- Conduct investigations into potential compliance issues.
- Conduct audits and risk assessments.
- Collaborate with compliance team on various projects, conferences, audits, assessments, reports, etc.
- Provide guidance and assistance on a broad range of export compliance matters, including:
- Technology Reviews, Classification and Access Controls
- Export Licensing
- Recordkeeping
- Audits
- Denied Party Screening/ KYC
- Incoterms
- Will perform other duties as assigned.
- Must be a U.S. person as defined as U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
- Basic Qualifications &
Education:
Bachelor's Degree Required and 5 or more years of relevant experience and practical knowledge in US export compliance. - Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
- Legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams) and similar software applications.
- Detailed knowledge of the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Foreign Trade Regulations (FTR).

- Forwarder Management

- Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Must be able to research, interpret, and apply the EAR, ITAR and FTR. - Ability to review and interpret technical documents such as drawings, specifications, manuals, etc.
- Experience with Technology/ Access Controls.
- Ability to implement advanced export/import control concepts.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with and through global, cross-functional teams.
- Excellent time-management skills, especially a strong ability to organize multiple projects at one time and prioritize them.
- Excellent legal research skills.
- Ability to analyze problems, identify alternative solutions, project consequences of proposed actions and implement recommendations in support of goals.
