Position: Senior Aircraft Technician (Mechanical)

Overview

Airbus Helicopters is looking for a Senior Aircraft Technician (Mechanical) to join our Maintenance & Repair (MAR) team in Grand Prairie, TX.

You will be part of a small team that performs detailed inspection, assembly, installation, repair or replacement of aircraft components and systems, maintenance or refurbishing of aircraft and function check of components.

Your responsibilities
  • Conduct operational checks of complete systems to verify proper functioning of components and systems.
  • Perform troubleshooting to diagnose malfunction or failures on aircraft systems including equipment furnishings, fire protection, fuel system, hydraulics, landing gear, doors, fuselage, stabilizer, rotor systems, power plant and engine controls.
  • Assure that completed work complies with FAA regulations, customer requirements, and company specifications.
  • Follow all OSHA, safety and environmental regulations.
  • Complete forms and records pertaining to completion of assigned work.
  • Participate in flight tests on aircraft and log work to be performed; interface with customer for delivery and address any problems identified by the customer.
Boarding pass / Qualifications
  • Minimum of six (6) years of aviation maintenance experience.
  • Current A&P license OR 18 months of maintenance experience on Airbus manufactured helicopters.
  • Helicopter maintenance experience, Airbus Helicopter airframe experience, and Safran Turbomeca engine experience are highly desirable.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
Physical Requirements
  • Onsite or remote: 90% Onsite
  • Vision: able to see and read computer screens and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings. Daily
  • Hearing: able to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on the production floor including safety warnings or alarms. Daily
  • Speaking: able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications. Daily
  • Equipment operation: able to operate office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts. Daily
  • Carrying: able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs. Daily
  • Lifting: able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 60lbs/27kgs. Daily
